Game Toy & DVD Donations

Hannah's House has on ongoing need for new toys and games for all ages. We have a game library for our families use and 40-50% of the games need to be replaced approximately every 6 months. Our games and toys are used an average of between 13 and 15 hours per day by various families. Lost and broken pieces through normal wear-and-tear are a part of daily life at Hannah's House.

A goodie drive for Hannah's House is a great way for an individual, a family, a small group of friends or work colleagues, or even large groups and organizations to do something that is fun and easy for everyone while making an important and meaningful contribution to the lives of children in need. This is a project that can be as simple as picking up an extra DVD when you are making a purchase and dropping that off or it can be an annual fund raiser to organize a major drive for the donation of dozens of new items for the children and parents to enjoy during their family time at Hannah's House.

While almost any donation is welcome, please don't donate stuffed animals. We have many children with respiratory challenges and the stuffed animals just collect and hold too much dust.

Here are some ideas for donations  and remember we have children from infants to high school:

Board Game - Card Game - Puzzle - Dollhouse - Cash Register - Play Food/Groceries - Every Kind of Ball You Can Think Of - Legos - Blocks - Coloring Books - Crayons - Colored Pencils - Play Dough - Stickers - Maze Game - Art Project - Art Supplies (especially glitter and glue) - Train Set - Race Track - Doll  - Tool Set - Stacking Toy - Sorting Game - Farm Set - School House - Zoo/Animal/Vet Set -

We also need a large wagon for our parents to use to pull their children when they go to Balboa Park, Trolley Barn Park, the Farmer's Market, and other places in our neighborhood.

90% of our movie library is still made up of VHS tapes that are gradually wearing out. Please think of Hannah's House when you have DVDs that your children have out-grown or do just a DVD drive.
