INTERN / VOLUNTEER
REQUIREMENTS
- A strong interest in helping children and their families
through transition due to:
- divorce/separation/custody
- substance abuse
- child abuse and neglect
- domestic violence
- mental illness
- Reliable transportation and a reliable nature
- Participate in a training program and weekly staff meeting
- Work at least 2-4 hours per week
- Commitment of six months volunteerism at the
House
- Excellent people skills and the ability to handle a
demanding customer base
- No active involvement with ongoing divorce/separation or
custody/visitation dispute
INTERN / VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observe child/parent interaction in visits and
safe-exchanges
- Fill out appropriate case paper work
- Answer incoming calls
- Enter appropriate data into case files on the computer
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional work ethics
set by the Center

HOURS
Monday thru Friday - Ranges from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
Saturday/Sunday - Ranges 8:30 am - 6:30 pm
Immediate needs: Saturday and Sunday
Other needs: Spanish speakers; American Sign Language
